An example of deep nesting - the Datasite can comfortably nest 15 pages deep. You can nest farther than this, but the page description starts to run out of room. If you left off the description and used a short name for the last page, you could probably nest 20 deep.

How many pages can the Datasite manage?

If each level contained 10 pages and you had 20 top-level pages, then your site could theoretically accommodate 2,000,000,000,000,000 pages (that's 20 quadrillion pages), but we don't recommend that. Instead, you could limit it to several hundred thousand (seven levels) and use the Data Arrays for an additional billion pages or so.

"Are you serious?" Well, partly. Let's just say that it's highly unlikely that you will ever outgrow the Datasite. MySQL, the database we use, is known to handle 5 billion records (each "page" would be one record), so your limit is not defined by the total number of pages (that's getting close to the total number of pages on the whole Internet). Instead, it would be the problem of our configuring and optimizing the software and hardware to serve that many web pages -- it's a question of handling traffic. Let's just say that, if you were that big and had a comparable budget, we could accommodate you.
